Travellers (…) steal a snapshot of life and leave behind them a trace that could change the lives of those they've encountered.
According to Jean Louis Delotte, the inscription of an event becomes a matter of taking place, a trace of memory. In order to claim its existence, such event should be found in time and place. Hence memory develops a personal landscape that may be traced.
The exhibition I moved on until I went back brings together artists whose work explores landscape as an expanded idea. As a dynamic process shaped over time or as a personal experience, landscape records traces that later are evoked and imprinted in our mind.
The Lichthof A and B of the University of Applied Arts in Vienna will open the exhibition I moved on until I went back on October 30 at 8 pm, featuring works by young artists. This show is the final project of the residence program Curators' Agenda: Vienna 2015, organized by BLOCKFREI Association and including nine international curators.
